Why are People so lazy?

I'm listening to The Ultimate Dr. John. He sings, If I don't do it, you know somebody else will. How many humans today have this as their frame of mind? The percentage of people that I know that aren't lazy could be counted on my right hand. Sure, I don't know a lot of people, but still, you get my point. Example: I have a fish tank in my room that wasn't touched in about 3 years. The water level was about 2/3 full and the algae growing on the side was about half an inch thick. Who knows how many times I looked at it, and said to myself man, I should really clean that? Then it would be immediately followed by a thought of "Next weekend, or I'll wait until I don't have as much homework. Well, it got to the point where it stank. Badly. I think in this past week, I have decreased my level of laziness by at least 60 percent. Saturday, I picked up that fish tank, and spent about 3 hours cleaning, bleaching, and scrubbing (with rubber cleaning gloves of course; I would never touch anything as slimy as algae with my bare hands). eleven: twenty-four pm
